Why Big Money is Attracted to Tungsten
Tungsten is a metal that is critical to modern life, but until now it has largely remained below the investment radar. However, when a legendary investor such as Warren Buffet- or at least a firm in which he has major stakes- invests in a tungsten project, the metal is bound to become a subject of growing interest.
Antimony potential at Thai Goldfields’ Khao Soon ‘Rabbit Prospect’ and its Palitapan Gold Project is underlined by recent comments by major Chinese tungsten and antimony miner, Minmetals.

Antimony prices are poised to favour the upside in the medium and long term due to declining reserves, which should be depleted within just ten years, Andrew Wang, marketing manager at Minmetals, said at the Conference*.
“Antimony prices will remain on the rise and looking at the longer-term fundamentals, they will continue to grow (as) based on the quantity of reserves there are only 10 years production to go,”

JV partners Thai Goldfields and Tigers Realm Minerals announced a maiden Chatree District inferred resource on its exploration title of 100,000 ounces gold @1.1g/t and 1,000,000 ounces silver @13.0g/t using a gold cut-off grade of 0.4 g/t.
The inferred JORC (2004) compliant resource is based on a cut-off grade of 0.4g/t gold for;
2,935,000 tonnes containing 102,000ozs gold at 1.1g/t and 965,000ozs silver at 10g/t.
The inferred resource lies within 2.5km of Kingsgates’ Chatree Gold Mine which processed its one millionth ounce of gold in July 2010.
